I am a mid-30's female IT professional looking for a male or female roommate. I am neat, clean, responsible, quiet, and considerate, don’t smoke or take drugs, one drink in social events or a weekend relaxing at home, I am more likely go out of the house for further entertainment, rather than bringing the party back home and l am looking for the same in a roommate. For me it is important to have a quiet place when I get home to where I can get studying done and sometimes work. I am pretty laid back and easy going. I am looking for someone that is willing to clean up after cooking and help keep common areas clean, as well as someone who is financially responsible. I have two indoor great Cats so don’t apply if you don’t REALLY LIKE CATS. The landlord will not allow more pets.
The apartment is the 1st floor of a 3 apartment house. It is clean and well maintained; it has hardwood floors throughout with tile in the kitchen, bathroom and entrance. It also has .good size windows all around the house. The house is furnished and kitchen fully equipped, except your bedroom; unfortunately there is not laundry in the building. The bedroom size is 11”x 9.5”, you can fit a queen size bed, 2 large dressers, or dresser and desk and it has good size windows and closet. The landlord is very reliable and responsive. The apartment is on Cedar Street in Somerville (cross street Murdock). It is T and Bus accessible, walking distance to both Davis and Porter Squares (about 15 minutes walk either square) and also close to Tufts with easy access to I-93. Street parking is available with a resident sticker.
In terms of cost, I request 1st and last month's rent and am the sole signer of the lease, so you will not have to sign one. Rent is $600 per month, and utilities average out to $150 per month and include gas, electricity, DSL and satellite.
