I am moving to Cambridge and am looking to transfer my lease (ending Aug 31) to someone, preferably a student or a professional. My roommate is male, a BU alum, easy going and works for a leading technology firm in the greater Boston area.
The apartment has two bedrooms (12" X 12" ft each) of which one may be yours, a kitchen (15" X 15" ft) with granite counter tops, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, four burner stove with oven, a bathroom and closet space. Utilities (Heat, Gas, Electricity and Internet) is around $60 per month. Coin operated washer and dryer is in the basement. My bedroom is also fully furnished with - Bed frame and mattress, Desk and chair, Futon with mattress, 2 book shelves, 3 bedside tables, 2 lamps, Window air-conditioner, Fan, TV - which you may have for $800.
During lease signing, first and last month rent payment, and a deposit of $150 is due. I have paid for the last month and the deposit, both of which I can transfer to you along with the lease. Therefore you may pay $675 (first month's rent) to the landlord, and $825 ($675 for the last month's rent and $150 for the deposit) to me.
The apartment is right next to several nice restaurants, bars and stores along Brighton Avenue and Harvard Avenue. It is 5 min walk from Shaws and the MBTA Green-B line (Packards Corner stop), next to the 57 bus stop that takes you to Kenmore Square, and a 2 minute walk to Harvard Ave. The property management office is conveniently located around the corner for rent payment and maintenance.
